Happy Thanksgiving!!

It is that time of year again....tomorrow is Thanksgiving day! I wanted to share some of the things that I remember most about Thanksgiving at the Pyle house.

To this day it is not Thanksgiving to me without getting up to watch the parades. I remember how much fun it was to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade every year. Nothing felt right until I saw Santa Claus pull up the end of the parade. Then it was time to go to Grandma's house for the traditional feast. There was always enough for the family and at least 3 or 4 others. The traditional Football games. This is where I became a Dallas Cowboy fan for life. Of course, there was the annual Pyle Nerf Bowl in the back yard. The one thing that I will always remember and will probably never find again is Grandma's pumpkin pie. I have never had one that was like hers since. I grade every pumpkin pie I taste based on hers.

There will never be a time like that again. I often think about the crazy things that went on around the holidays and have to laugh. I am very grateful to have had the life I did growing up and would not trade those memories for anything in the world. I am truly blessed to have the family that I have and I pray each day that I can bring the wonder and magic to my family that was so dear to me then. I love you all! Happy Thanksgiving!

Terry Pyle gives tribute ....

Richard I'll always remember your passion for racing along with Jim I always loved to hear your stories. I did get to see you run once in the figure 8 races though not in this car. I will miss our conversations by phone. It seemed like most of the time it was on Sundays before the races when we would talk. After leaving home for the Air Force that I had very little time to spend with you or the rest of my family. The short times we did have together always left us laughing about those things we used to do. I am glad I was able to get to see you this summer. The whole family together again. We had a great time reminiscing while going through Mom's pictures.
Now, with a very heavy heart I must say goodbye. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I Love you Richard and I will always miss you. May God Bless.

The Next Time We Meet.

The next time we meet, we will share the same old stories, and they will be just as funny as they were the first time we told them. The next time we meet, I won't forget to hug you and let you know how great it is to see you. The next time we meet, I'll listen to every word you say as if my life depended on it. The next time we meet, I will make sure that you know just how important you really are to me. The next time we meet, I will make a promise to you to keep in touch, and this time I will. The next time we meet, I will savor every moment that I have to be around you. The next time we meet, I will tell you how blessed I really am that you are in my life and you will see it in my eyes. The next time we meet, I won't forget what you have meant to me and how much you really influenced my life. The next time we meet, it is going to break my heart to have to say goodbye.
